Designed by Professor Jim Randle at Jaguar Cars LTD the XJ40 saved Jaguar from collapse when launched. Way of ahead of it's time in design, it extended the DNA from the early XJ Models to create the very last truly hand built car Jaguar produced. "Bertie" has been a long time affair for us as we rescued him back in 2015. Over the last ten years he has undergone a substantial restoration which saw him return to the road in 2024. Traditionally Jaguar the car is Light Oyster in colour, with a Connolly Leather Doeskin interior, flanked by Burr Walnut Trim. Under the bonnet is the legendary 3.2 AJ6 engine. "Bertie" garners attention from all wherever he goes, due to his striking colour and now retro styling.

A true Westcounty Car, Ebony was originally ordered directly by the Dealer Principle of Grange Jaguar when in Exeter as their official Demonstrator for the launch of this era of the Jaguar XJ. Fitted with virutally every extra available the car was placed at the centre of dealership for all to enjoy. Since purchase Ebony has always been a Westcounty car. Powered by an ultrasmooth 3.5 litre V8 Engine power may be at it's heart but Ebony is stealthlike in both appearance and movement. Named "Ebony" due to her chosen shade of Black on the outside, inside you will be greated by a sumptious interior capable of transporting three additional passengers within the cabin surrounded by Ivory Leather interior and real maple trim, a superb example of the model, and one of just 1,500 cars left in this specification.
"GYPSY"

Somewhat of a special car "Gypsy" is believed to be a genuine one of one car. Originally ordered directly from Jaguar Cars LTD in Coventry her first deployment was to the Home Office where for the first year of her life she ran on diplomatic plates. Unlike our other cars "Gypsy" is not only a long wheel base car, but also carries the incredible rare Executive Pack option in the rear of the car which provides two seperate reclining, heated seats, a privacy blind and a rear entertainment package. A real head turner gypsy quite happily purrs along powered by a 2.7TDvi engine and is ideal for the longer journey.
